Established in 1898, St. Joseph Country Club is the oldest country club west of the Mississippi River. We are hiring Pool Managers who will directly oversee Lifeguards to ensure the daily operations of the pool facilities run smoothly and efficiently! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES Implements and monitors St. Joseph Country Club policies and procedures; enforces pool regulations; cautions members and staff regarding unsafe activities. Performs all required lifeguard-training skills as needed. Monitor activities in the water, pool decks, and ancillary areas of St. Joseph Country Club facilities to prevent accidents. Participates in required training sessions, including safety drills and other emergency procedures. Reports hours, days, and time worked for all employees under his/her direct supervision. Inspects and maintains swimming and pool equipment for functionality, ensures proper placement and availability in the pool area, and recommends maintenance and repair as needed. Maintains pool and restroom areas in a safe and clean condition. Ensures employees under his/her direct supervision are properly trained in their duties. Holds monthly training and safety meetings for all employees under his/her direct supervision. Assists in tracking pool attendance, balances cash drawer, and makes daily deposit as directed. Handles first aid problems. Maintains discipline at the swimming pool facility and supervises all staff enforcing staff policies and rules. Performs and supervises pool maintenance duties including back-washing, regular cleaning of baskets and filters, vacuuming and skimming the pool, cleaning deck and grass areas, empty trash receptacles, and caring for the overall cleanliness of the facility. Ensures daily chemical, safety, and equipment logs are recorded and maintained. Checks all gates and doors at closing time. Maintains inventory of chemical, emergency supplies, and daily supplies. Preforms other duties as assigned by management. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous aquatics experience with a minimum of 3 years as a Lifeguard 3 years of Supervisory experience Possess knowledge of rescue procedures and emergency medical procedures. Maintain knowledge of CPR, Rescue Breathing, First Aid and all other emergency care and treatment at test ready levels and ensure that staff does the same through unannounced drills, ongoing trainings, and direct coaching. Experience in safety and risk management, especially hazardous materials. Knowledge of hazardous chemical usage and safety. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES CPR Certification. Lifeguard Certification.
