A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with HR Management to support the day-to-day operations of the human resources department. Your ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships assists with maintaining a positive work environment and ensures employee progression. Other responsibilities include: Be a culture ambassador and employee advocate Assist HR Director and hiring managers with full cycle recruiting efforts including job postings, screening applicants, and scheduling interviews using internal ATS Oversee the onboarding process, conduct new hire orientations and exit interviews, and administer employee data via HRIS system Assist in communication and interpretation of employee handbook, benefits, policies and procedures, and maintain company organization chart Update and maintain job descriptions and employee handbook Support HR related engagement activities to include training programs, committees, rewards, workshop, and seminars Process background checks and drug screenings Support employees with benefit related questions, claim discrepancies, and conflict resolution Oversee sensitive and /or confidential employee information and provide excellent customer service to all employees Assist with the annual and quarterly review process using the automated performance management system Perform special projects as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field 4+ years of Human Resources (HR) experience Prior experience in manufacturing or distribution environment a plus Experience with full cycle recruiting process PHR/SHRM certification preferred Previous experience with employee benefit plans Experience using a Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Paychex a plus Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Internal and external customer service experience Excellent communication and people skills, cultural awareness Aptitude to problem solve and thorough knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and employment law Stong attention to detail, good organizational skills with ability to prioritize Capable of handling multiple projects independently and good troubleshooting skills ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR HUMAN RESOURCES TEAM?
