Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you driven, take ownership, get into the details, have problem-solving abilities and a passion for engineering? Our current Design Engineers do and we are looking to grow the team. As a SPIROL Design Engineer, you will support both sustaining and research and development projects. Your days will be spent: Conducting research and development for new/existing tooling, equipment, and processes Provide oversight of proprietary equipment rebuilds and upgrades Generate 3D models and 2D drawings for equipment and tooling Assist in troubleshooting proprietary equipment Provide technical guidance for components being manufactured in our in-house machine shop Support and/or provide oversight for R&D and Capital projects which will include developing schedules and estimates for costs and labor Researching additional technologies to advance existing capabilities A successful SPIROL Design Engineer is: Knowledgeable of all SPIROL products, proprietary equipment, tooling, and processes A subject matter expert that takes ownership of an area of specialization within the team A technical resource for Manufacturing in Connecticut, Canada, Mexico, and the UK Has in-depth knowledge of the design details associated with their projects Has the ability to prioritize their work schedule to complete projects on-time and within budget Desires continued professional development Tools we use: Solid Edge Microsoft Excel, Word Smartsheet PLC programming software Recommended Qualifications: BSME (Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering) A track record of getting into the project details (academic or work related) Experience or a willingness to learn project management A desire to work in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in solid modeling (Solid Edge) software Ability to travel to other SPIROL production facilities (Ohio, Mexico, Canada, UK) when required ( 5+ years of experience is preferred but potential will not be dismissed Our Benefit Package Includes: Competitive Compensation Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance Disability Insurance 401(k) with Company Matching ESOP Pension Pet Insurance Paid Time Off Employee Referral Bonus Program Education Assistance Program Employee Assistance Program Salary Range: Design Engineer - $75,000-$105,000 Senior Design Engineer - $95,000-$125,000 ***Potential Sign On Bonus Commensurate with experience - $5,000*** Job Posted by ApplicantPro
