Reports To: Quality Manager Department: Quality Stand By Replacement: Inspector, Operations Manager Summary of Function: Assure customer satisfaction via effective quality planning tools, provide technical assistance to all personnel and responsible for corrective actions to customers. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Preparation and active updating of Process Control Plans FMEA's and Inspection instructions SPC monitoring and CPK improvement Problem resolution and customer communications Customer visits as necessary Technical assistance to other departments regarding quality issues Attends feasibility meetings Approves rework and provides deviations for non-compliant material Requests customer deviations Maintains customer history files Calibrations of gages when required Organizational Relationships: Team Player Interact with Management Production personnel Communicate effectively with customers Educational Requirements: Bachelor Degree or an associate degree with a minimum of two years quality experience or High School Diploma with six years quality experience CQE or CQA preferred. Extensive knowledge of SPC and GD&T as well as gage concepts required. Physical Requirements: Surrounding conditions are good, with exposure to noise when in manufacturing areas. Experience Requirements: Three or more years in manufacturing with year quality experience. One or more years experience with Automotive requirements preferred. Must have the ability to read prints and extensive knowledge of inspection techniques. Should have quality engineering background and exposure to quality management systems. Required Training: 3 Months OJT, Fundamental understanding of metal forming, understanding of SPC, control plans, FMEA training, understanding of gage concepts and G, D & T, PPAP capability analysis.
