Come join Hope For Youth in our new Youth ACT Team as a Family Peer Advocate! To be a successful Family Peer Advocate, you must become able and willing to do the following always: Function within the policies and procedures as outlined in program practice guide and employee manual Adhere to state regulations and applicable code of conduct Work within an interdisciplinary team to assist youth in their overall functioning and achieve desired outcomes Provide rehabilitative support services through an array of formal and non-formal services to the parent, family member or caregiver for the benefit of the child/youth. Assist families with developing community connections and naturals supports to enhance the quality of life by integration and supports for families in their own communities, as well as helping the family to rediscover and reconnect to natural supports already present in their lives. Helping the family learn and practice strategies to support their child's positive behavior, assisting the family to implement strategies by clinicians, providing individual or group parent skill development related to the behavioral health needs of the child (i.e., training on special needs parenting skills). Attend trainings and professional development as assigned Attend daily team meetings and family meetings as assigned Apply agency-identified Evidence Based Interventions best suited to meet the client's needs. Provide transportation for client to their service location as necessary. How you will spend your time in this job: 60% Direct family therapeutic contact including transportation 20% Case documentation, reports, case related meetings 20% Staff/team meetings/supervision/training To qualify for this job you need to be: Family Peer Advocate Credential with one year experience or ability and willingness to obtain credential within 1 month of employment and limited permit Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, and experience working with EHRs.
