Job Location: Reston, VA (remote work flexibility: 2-days on-site, 3-days remote) Overview Growing government contractor with Federal and Commercial contracts is seeking an experienced accountant. Support a fast-paced work environment. Be an integral player in supporting all accounting operations, financial reporting functions and ensure that proper internal control policies and procedures are consistently in place to support effective financial and accounting operations. Responsibilities of this position will include: Responsibilities Supporting all accounting operations, including accounts receivable/billing, collections, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting and analysis, policy and procedures, and GAAP, FAR , compliance; Responsibility for promoting an environment of excellent customer service and continual process improvement; Supporting month-end and annual general ledger close process; Supporting year-end financial audit process, including interaction/correspondence with external auditors; Responsible for preparing timely and accurate financial statements, including preparation of consolidation Maintain a DCAA Compliant accounting system and prepare Incurred Cost Submissions for DCAA submission, also acting as a liaison with DCAA Reston Office. Prepare Incurred Cost Submission on a timely basis to be submitted to DCAA. Qualifications BS Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred, but not mandatory 5 + years of progressive financial management experience in the federal marketplace Hands on Costpoint experience required Excellent written and oral communication skills Hands on professional and highly organized Proficient with MS Office suite and Deltek T&E Flexibility to work in a small, agile environment with minimal structure and processes * Open to Full-time W-2 employment only ( no staffing firms or 3rd party candidates ) Job Posted by ApplicantPro
