Establishes loan files and orders/collects documentation required to process both first mortgage loans and home equity loans Reviews information for completeness and accuracy to ensure all necessary items are available for underwriting. Prepares initial disclosures and ensures that they are compliant with RESPA and TRID (when MLO is unavailable). Reviews initial loan approval and works with members to gather appropriate documentation. Orders appraisals, credit reports, title reports, and other essential documentation. Communicates effectively with all parties associated in the loan transaction, including title companies, insurance agents, and appraisers, ad coordinates closings. Assist members both in-person and via phone to quote interest rates, solve payment problems, answer questions. Works with Mortgage Loan Officer in communicating with members during mortgage process. Expected to return phone messages and emails from members by the end of the day to ensure clear concise communication. Maintain an up-to-date pipeline report of all files in process. Knowledge on the secondary market mortgage guidelines. Obtain Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) on files when necessary and requests subordinations Meets all established loan production and service goals and complies with established PDCU member service Enthusiastically promotes and offers Credit Union products and services that will benefit the member. What are the Requirements of the job? Registered in the National Mortgage licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO). First time registration requires a SAFE Act background check. High school diploma or GED. Associates degree preferred. Five years experience as an MLO at a full-service financial institution.
