The Astorian has an immediate opening for an Office Coordinator / Accounting Clerk You'll provide outstanding service to our customers through data entry, phone calls and assisting team members with light walk-in traffic, with emphasis on accounting related duties. This is a great place to grow your career! Accounting duties will include processing payments, helping customers with questions, balancing credit card statements, monitoring and balancing staff expenses, assisting with collections, assisting with payroll data entry and being the local human resources contact for employee questions.The ideal candidate will have accounts receivable and/ or payables experience along with strong computer and interpersonal skills. Accuracy and trustworthiness are a must! Skills needed include the ability to stay organized while working on multiple tasks, quick and accurate data entry, communicating through phone calls and emails, accurate spelling, and good grammar. You'll need a driver's license and reliable transportation to run local errands, plus pass a background screen. If you aren't already a notary, the company will pay for your training and license. This position is 28 to 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, based in our Astoria office. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
