American Stone is looking to hire a Part-time Local Delivery Driver with a Class A License to deliver a wide variety of stone products to retail customers, landscaping and masonry contractors, and other store locations. Do you have excellent interpersonal skills, with an energetic and outgoing personality? Do you have the ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism? This full-time position pays $18-$30/hour depending on experience, and unlike an OTR driver position, you'll be home daily . You would also be eligible for some of the best benefits around including 2 weeks of PTO, 401K, tuition reimbursement, and discounted products. You would also be eligible for a total benefits package amounting to as much as $7,000 more in annual income. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CLASS A CDL DRIVER As a full-time Local Driver, you are key in delivering to our retail, store locations, and contractor customers. You'll load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate the delivery vehicle, flatbed, or dump truck. You also contribute as a member of our sales team, inform customers and contractors about new products and services offered, and upsetting customers. You'll diagnose and repair fleet equipment. While this is a local position, you could handle limited overnight travel very occasionally. You are kept busy not only doing deliveries but also keeping your truck in excellent working condition, stocked with all the appropriate safety equipment and necessary tools. You understand and follow DOT regulations and safety standards. When it comes to interacting with customers, you are a friendly representative of the company. You assist customers and staff, load trucks, stack rock, and perform general truck maintenance, with an upbeat attitude and a smile. You feel great satisfaction through seeing how much you help customers and keep our store running smoothly. QUALIFICATIONS Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, such as lifting, standing for extended periods of time, working in extreme weather conditions. Able to run equipment necessary to load and secure the load. Valid Class A CDL with proper endorsement. Valid Medical Card. Clean driving record with no traffic violations. Ability to pass drug screening Prior experience in cash handling and customer service preferred, but not required The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
