Description:
Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in Syracuse with a young man with autism. He and his family are looking for a dedicated DSP (also known as a Mentor or Skill Builder) to provide support and assist him with working on goals, both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: accompanying and s upporting him during community outings ; assisting him to gain independent living skills ; supporting him with health and safety; and providing transportation, as needed. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavior concerns a plus. Reliable vehicle and a valid NYS driver's license are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Hours: 35-40 hrs per week (Mon through Fri, approx 8:00/9:00am-4:00/5:00pm) Pay rate: $20.00 per hour EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer Job Posted by ApplicantPro
