April 11, 2023 POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT Economic Development Officer City of The Dalles Closing Date: Open until filled. First review May 4, 2023 DEFINITION: Represents the City and its efforts to drive economic development by coordinating with area partners, assisting property/business owners and developers. Assist the City Manager by overseeing contracted Airport Manager. (For a complete list of responsibilities, see job description attached to the job announcement on the City web site) QUALIFICATIONS: Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Social Science field such as Economics or Political Science.Experience: Experience in local government administration including economic development, budget management, performance management, and project research and management. PAY: The wage for this position is due to increase effective July 1, 2023 to $80,324.03 to $98,788.78 annually, plus generous benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision and retirement contributions of 13.5% of base wage after one year of employment.
