Job# DH-DK (Syracuse Area) A 56-year-old female with an intellectual disability is looking for a 1:1 support staff 2 days a week. She would like to work on money management, household tasks, exercise, and community integration. She enjoys staying home but at times likes to go out to lunch, shop, and visit with friends. The ideal candidate must be willing to support her with activities of her choice, money management/budgeting, exercise, grocery shopping, household tasks, and errands. The ideal candidate also needs to be reliable, friendly, engaging, willing to take her to medical appointments if necessary, and be ok with pets. She has 3 dogs and a cat in the home. This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency. Hours and days of work: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 10 am to 3 pm Starting pay : Starting pay is $17-$19/hour depending on experience. Location: Syracuse, West Side Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community. Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred. New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community. All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check completed by Exceptional Family Resources (EFR). EOE EFR is a qualified employer in the New York State Health Care and Mental Hygiene Worker Bonus (HWB) Program. Employees who meet the minimum required hours may be eligible for up to two bonuses, with a total maximum payout of $3000.
