Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages through 765 kV. ECI has an immediate opening for an entry level electrical engineer to perform detailed electrical and instrumentation engineering for our industrial customers. The successful candidate will provide production support for the Industrial Engineering group. All work will be performed under the direction of a project engineer and project manager. Significant training and direction is expected throughout the first several months of employment, with moderate amounts of training and mentoring thereafter. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performing electrical, instrumentation and process controls design work Analyzing existing systems, designing and making recommendations for improvements Preparation of engineering reports, calculations, and other documentation Developing calculations, developing construction drawings, creating material/equipment specifications and construction specifications for material procurement and construction Occasional travel/driving is required Minimum Requirements: BSEE or MSEE from an ABET accredited university ; experience as an electrical engineer in an industrial setting a plus. The successful candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office products and other common office/engineering software. Ability to mobilize throughout industrial facilities, including climbing stairs and ladders, negotiating narrow walkways, climbing over piping and other obstacles, walking long distances, and lifting up to 50 pounds required. The successful candidate may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Occasional out of town travel (typically less than 10% but could be more at times for specific project needs) may be requested. The successful candidate is subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa) now or in the future.
