Responsibilities: The Planner/Estimator works closely and communicates well with all team members, specifically with Production Lead, Machinists and the company's lead Estimator to develop, implement and maintain various manufacturing plans, bill of materials, and work instructions. Assists with processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements. Defines manufacturing planning steps (operations) for machinists and assemblers to follow. Reviews all customer requirements from drawings, specifications, and purchase orders to ensure this information is included in manufacturing planning. Has the ability to read engineering drawings and specifications, and is willing to learn about processes that may not be clear to them now. Assists in reviewing supplier capabilities to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met. Selects suppliers based on their ability to meet product and process requirements. Develops sequencing of operations for manufacturing of parts Assists in the review, maintenance and monitoring of internal documents. Bid on new and repeat work for the company by receiving RFQ's from customer websites or emails, and estimating manufacturing costs based on engineering drawings. Clearly and accurately define labor hours, material costs and outside service costs for each project quoted in a timely fashion through existing ERP Software. Create detailed quotes and proposals defining all aspects of the work in question including price, schedule, exceptions & clarifications, FOB Point, Etc. Obtain vendor quotes on processes not done in house. Clearly detail all information on work orders required to manufacture the customer's order to the agreed upon specifications and quote. Information to be included are work Hours, production duration, and any special instructions. Write professional emails and communicate on the phone with customers. Maintain all job-related documentation as well as written and verbal communications. Qualifications: 5+ years relevant experience required, to include the following: Machining Estimating time EDM (Electrostatic Discharge Machine) Waterjet experience Ability to read drawings and interpret GD&T Additive Manufacturing Finish and Coding requirement Experience with AS9100 Secret security clearance What we have to offer: Competitive benefits and compensation package.
