Summary of Position: Seeking an experienced and self-motivated Purchasing Specialist. This position will play a key role in the Company's panel build process, leading the purchasing effort for all components and sub-assemblies, managing component inventory and staging for release to the build floor. Related experience in purchasing or operations with a manufacturer required. Candidates should have proven multitasking capabilities and experience managing diverse job responsibilities. Title: Purchasing Specialist Location: Livonia, MI Schedule: Full Time Duties and responsibilities including but not limited to: Perform procurement and receiving tasks and reporting including purchase order issuance, price verification, vendor identification and qualification, and associated tasks in Microsoft Dynamics GP in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures. Work with the team to document material received, including incoming parts count and/or any vendor shipment discrepancies. Stage and sort components for build projects. Maintain inventory levels for production scheduling and communicate delivery dates to the team, and process returns to vendors. Enter Bill of Material, process changes to Bill of Materials, making sure the records are in sync with the engineering data files. Assist team with finish goods shipping, including applicable documentation/pick tickets, shipping paperwork for outbound shipments including international/customs forms. Coordinate ISO related activities including updating documentation as needed, perform internal audits, ensure instrumentation is current per ISO standards. Plan, schedule and work with the team to verify, count and investigate discrepancies during Physical inventory. Occasionally act as backup to order entry and distribution components purchasing function and reporting. Requirements : Minimum 2 years purchasing experience sourcing electrical and/or mechanical components used in manufacturing. Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate the web and input data quickly Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP software. Self-organized with demonstrable attention to detail and excellent recall. Willingness and ability to interact with customers and vendors and communicate effectively. Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and on a team.
