Parks and Recreation Internship Description The intern for the Parks and Recreation Department must be willing to work and learn in all facets of the department including aquatics, athletics, programming, concessions, maintenance, farm and administration. The intern will work with staff at all levels throughout the department from introductory seasonal staff to the Director. The schedule for the intern will need to be flexible to accommodate holidays, weekends and evenings as needed. General Responsibilities Duties will include, but not be limited to: Athletic field maintenance Aquatic programming Maintenance and scheduling Recreational program development and execution Farm programming and site supervision Participation in training's and meetings Front desk administration Clerical work Park maintenance Customer service and planning Volunteer organization A specific project will be created in collaboration with the intern to benefit both their academic goals as well as facilitate a need within the Park and Recreation Department. Requirements Intern must be enrolled in a park, recreation, sports management or leisure services program through their school. They will need to meet all minimum requirements for employment with the City of Collinsville. We are accepting applications for those who are looking for a summer only or year-round internship. Rate of Pay This position is $16.00/hr. There are no benefits associated with part-time or seasonal positions. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
