A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KIDS CAMP COUNSELOR As a Counselor, you are responsible for ensuring the kids participate in activities in a safe manner. You work as team to ensure all activities are provided for the children that will help them grow and be included in all programs. You will communicate with parent's to provide any updates, concerns, or planning and development. Activities include: swimming, games, and sports. In addition, you also attend all staff meetings, training sessions, and end of year festival. When other Kids Camp Counselors or staff members need help, you are happy to assist them with any tasks that are required. Having a job where you get to maintain a positive impact to the patrons children every day brings you great satisfaction is why you thrive in this position! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A KIDS CAMP COUNSELOR At least 15 years of age Great with kids Ability to meet the physical activity requirements, including pushing and pulling Ability to work weekends Able to work June 5th - August 11th Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Are you highly alert and attentive to detail? Do you work well both independently and as part of a team? Can you work well in stressful situations? Do you consider yourself an exceptional problem solver? If yes, you might just be perfect for this part-time position in our recreations department!
