Assembler - Oxygen Lab Technician

Job Summary The Oxygen Lab Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting our Emergency Oxygen System (EOS) and Survival Kits for ejection seats. Essential Functions Read and understand blueprints / drawings. Performs Oxygen Cylinder Hydrostatic Testing (PVET - Permanent Volume Expansion Test) and Oxygen Cylinder Cleanliness Test. Operates Nitrogen and Oxygen Test Boards. Performs other tests relating to reducers, low pressure manifold, relief valves, Pull Testing (Proof Test), connector assembly test, filler valve test and filler valve gauge testing. Documents temperature and pressure readings; reports any irregular readings to management. Troubleshoots and diagnosis all unit components and reports defective parts to management. Maintains all gauges, charts, and other related equipment used for testing. Maintain a clean Oxygen Lab Assembly / maintenance area. Interface with Engineering Department on design. Observes and follows all company safety rules and policies. Qualifications/Minimum requirements U.S. Citizenship Required. Ability to read, write, and speak in English proficiently. GED, High School degree; technical and vocational training preferred. Previous industry experience preferred. Knowledge of general assembly hand tools preferred. Knowledge of ASME and AGA codes a plus. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, critical thinking skills, and proficiency with standard testing tools preferred. Prior experience with an aerospace defense manufacturer preferred.
