Description:
Astra Surveying is a rapidly growing full service surveying company working throughout Florida. We are seeking a Land Survey CADD Technician to be located in Orlando, FL. Some Responsibilities include: Familiarity with legal surveys, plats, deeds, etc. and understanding legal descriptions Generate accurate surface and DTM models using aerial and ground surveys Responsible for the quality and accuracy of calculations, geospatial, CAD drafting, etc. along with the creation and editing of survey products Understanding GIS programs and concepts Process field survey data such as surface models, GPS, volumes, etc. Ability to understand design plans for production of field staking data Research, calculate and prepare R/W and boundary lines, site plans, etc. Utilize AutoCAD/Civil 3D and similar modeling software Ability to meet customer deadlines Perform all necessary analysis for roadway, utilities, site development and stormwater projects Supporting estimators and engineers with drafting and design responsibilities Requirements: Degree or certificate in geomatics, land surveying, engineering technology or computer aided drafting; or have equivalent work experience Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D Strong mathematical and computer skills Ability to work on several multi-discipline projects simultaneously Experience with civil engineering plans and terminology Astra Surveying offers numerous benefits including: Competitive salary based upon experience Annual Bonus eligible Paid PTO time available immediately Paid holidays Medical, dental and vision insurance Short and long term disability 401(k) with company match Astra Surveying is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by law.
