Production Coordinator

Since 1917, Globe Machine has been a manufacturer of industrial machines, systems, and plants for advanced composites, building products, and pulp & paper industries. This position is located in our Tacoma, WA office. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Review jobs prior to closing to ensure all labor and material costs have been reported correctly, that all materials have been issued and Engineering Change Notices have been incorporated. Monitor and evaluate stock levels on manufactured parts. Actively release stock orders certifying needs are met. Review stock jobs prior to receipt to ensure accurate cost accrual. Maintain back log report including updating the status of where the job is in the shop. Present weekly report to management to set accurate delivery commitments. Release work orders for parts department. Serve as point person for custom manufacturing orders including releasing sales orders, tracking orders through manufacturing, and updating customer as to status. During annual inventory audit, assign Globe part numbers to steel pieces and update inventory sheet to reflect accurate data. Manage all departmental coordination and organization of Made2Manage. Provide back-up support to the Production Control Expeditor, on job releases including reviewing job print orders, drawings, cut cards and engineering change notices. In partnership with the Production Control Expeditor, review, and update shortage reports for machine orders. Verify accuracy of labor reporting for payroll. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational and office skills with the demonstrated ability to learn new tasks as required. Attention to detail, strong written and verbal business communications skills are essential. Solid Microsoft Office experience required. Inventor 2012 or SolidWorks and MS Project desired. Ability to read CAD drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams and/or electrical schematics strongly desired. Ability to perform a variety of non-clerical tasks as needed in a technical or manufacturing environment. Ability to work in a team environment with diverse team members. Proven track record of being self-motivated, working with minimal supervision, and leading and partnering with diverse team members required. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently, retain a sense of urgency and meet strict timelines required. Previous administrative support roles a plus.
