Philadelphia Country Club is currently seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to join our team as a Lifeguard for Summer 2023 for our state-of-the-art resort-style pool. This opportunity is an part-time position, with flexible scheduling and must have day, night, and evening availability. The Philadelphia Country Club pool is a focal point of the Club in the summer months which includes a relaxing environment with outstanding food and beverage options. Our staff works as a team to ensure spending a day at our pool is an experience for our members and their guests that rival the finest resort pools in the world. If you are an outgoing, creative individual, and self-motivated person, this position with PCC is for you. Shifts include: day, evening, weekend, early morning lap swim, and various events. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: - Monitoring and correcting any dangerous behavior on pool deck and in the water - Opening /Closing Tasks as directed by Pool Experience Manager and Assistant Pool Managers - Reporting all incidents and injuries to the Management team immediately - Recognizing and responding immediately to any and all emergency situations as needed - Providing Standard First Aid if needed - Providing emergency care in and out of the water until EMS arrives - Keeping deck clean/ deck brushing/ assisting with pool vacuuming if needed - Enforcing PCC pool policies and procedures - Assist in set up/ breakdown of club events including; swim meets, pool parties, pool games - Teaching members and children in a positive manner safety practices and ability to create awareness of pool rules - Other duties, as assigned. Job Requirements: . - Previous lifeguarding experience preferred, but not required. - Current lifeguard certification with includes lifeguard training, standard first aid; adult, infant, and child CPR and multiple rescuer CPR/AED training, preferred. - Must be willing to undergo background checks in accordance with Pennsylvania state laws. - Must meet PCC standards for uniform, grooming, and hygiene.
