Description Position Details : Medication Assistant Full-time. Shifts may include Day/Evening/Nights. Non-exempt, Hourly Union 500 worked hour introductory period applies. Position Summary : Assists professional nursing personnel by performing treatments and related bedside resident care, using skills, duties and standards as authorized by the Nurse Manager. Demonstrates general knowledge of care for the elderly or recovering resident, incorporating compassion and respect. Safety and proper use of equipment are essential in care of our residents. Performs duties in a professional, team-oriented, positive atmosphere to create a harmonious living environment for residents following the prescribed resident care plan. Maintains communication with complete and appropriate charting, along with appropriate and required verbal information provided to professional nursing staff. Requirements Education : High School Diploma or equivalent. Licensure/Certification : Current Oregon Food Handlers' Certification. Current CPR/First Aid within 30 days of hire. Experience : Prior caregiving experience in a licensed community-based care facility, preferred. Prior experience with medication administration for multiple clients, preferred. 6-12 months' CNA experience, preferred. Skills : Must possess strong organizational and time-management skills. Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relations skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities. Considerable initiative, judgment, and leadership skills are also required. Must have sufficient communication and language skills to perform duties and communicate with residents, staff, family members, health care professionals, etc. as needed. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
