Established in 1964, Wiers operates three International Truck Dealerships and eight Fleet Partners Service Centers in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Colorado, Texas, and Wisconsin. We maintain and repair class 3-8 vehicles including commercial vans, super-duty trucks, straight trucks, tractors, and trailers. Wiers Service Centers are operated by experienced teams who bring dealer capabilities to a friendly and family-oriented environment. Problem solving skills Communication Skills - verbal & written Accountability Job Description: The Parts Director is responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience with our proprietary subscription preventive maintenance offering by executing the following: Analyzes and optimizes the acquisition of parts for the company. Reviews and negotiates vendor credit agreements. Designs and implements systems to ensure parts inventory is optimized. Conducts training with remote staff to ensure compliance to operating procedures. Works closely with accounting to reduce friction on invoice processing. Improves parts gross margin with the use of price tapes and lower acquisition costs. Assists staff with procuring parts. Reduced obsolete parts from the inventory and proactively prevents reoccurrence. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 4 year degree preferred Prior parts manager experience Knowledge of commercial vehicles, components, and repairs Must have excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills. Must have strong attention to detail Excellent customer service. Must have a strong knowledge of excel: creates graphs, pivot tables, and simulations Must be coachable - take and apply feedback - no whining Must be dependable - early, prepared, anticipates issues, skeptical, closes the loop Must be capable of handling diverse duties and changing deadlines and enjoy it Be able to work in an office and remotely Physical Requirements: The work is of an intellectual nature. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is required to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Specific vision abilities required include close and medium distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal sounds, distinguish sound as voice and communicate through human speech. This position requires the ability to operate a keyboard, computer mouse, telephone, fax, copier, writing tools, and other standard office equipment. On an occasion, an employee will be asked to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.
