Feuer powertrain North America: We are located in Robinsonville, MS, which is 20 minutes South of Memphis. We are the US subsidiary of a German-based leading independent producer of crankshafts, "the heart of every engine." In Europe, we produce crankshafts for Mercedes-Benz, BMW, VW, Audi, Renault, Jaguar, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and many more. In North America, we produce crankshafts for GM, Ford, Mercury and many more. We are now expanding our plant to a new 2nd line. We are hiring immediately. The Production Supervisor will provide direction and leadership for Production Team Associates in a fast-paced, automotive machining environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: training employees, safety, meeting quality goals, reducing downtime, reducing rejected materials, increasing department productivity, reducing employee turnover, and assuring department preparedness. Must lead by example and effectively communicate with employees at all levels both within and outside of the department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Production Manager, plans, assigns, directs and coordinates activities relating to shift operations, including safety, quality, production, and employee relations. Successfully starts up product line operations to meet or exceed all financial, operational, and customer deliverables. Supports quality systems to ensure all final products meet consumer expectations and standards. Evaluate each station of the manufacturing process to ensure maximum efficiency. Supports training of new hires and internal transfers on their job duties and responsibilities. Ensures employees are consistently adhering to standardized work processes and rotation schedules. Tracks and reports daily production and drives improvements where necessary. Supports corrective action plans and the Optimization Department in improvement of first run capabilities. Ensures all company policies, procedures, standards, and safety rules are consistently adhered to. Collaborates with the Department Manager and Human Resources Manager in the administration of disciplinary action, when necessary. Monitors, maintains, and records employees' time related to Attendance and Time-Off Policies. Ensures time-off requests with supporting documentation are processed completely and timely. Ensures timely completion of performance reviews based on established schedule. Responds to and investigates all reports of injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses and property damage immediately. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of two (2) years of production supervisory or team leadership experience in manufacturing. 2+ years' experience operating CNC equipment (lathes, mills, etc.) High School Diploma or equivalent. Team oriented, communicates well with others, and able to interact with people at all levels. Excellent problem solving, leadership, and documentation skills. Familiarity with any of the following machining processes is a plus: lathes, mills, drills, bore, tapping, heat treat, grinding, balancing, rolling, polishing, etc. Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to a minimum of 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
