The Loan Processor is responsible for the processing of first mortgage and home equity loans from beginning to end. This role is essential in presenting a complete and accurate loan file to our underwriting department, that is in compliance with credit union and investor guidelines. Establishes loan files and orders/collects documentation required to process both first mortgage loans and home equity loans Reviews information for completeness and accuracy to ensure all necessary items are available for underwriting. Prepares initial disclosures and ensures that they are compliant with RESPA and TRID (when MLO is unavailable). Reviews initial loan approval and works with members to gather appropriate documentation. Orders appraisals, credit reports, title reports, and other essential documentation. Communicates effectively with all parties associated in the loan transaction, including title companies, insurance agents, and appraisers, ad coordinates closings. Assist members both in-person and via phone to quote interest rates, solve payment problems, answer questions. Works with Mortgage Loan Officer in communicating with members during mortgage process. Expected to return phone messages and emails from members by the end of the day to ensure clear concise communication. Maintain an up-to-date pipeline report of all files in process. Knowledge on the secondary market mortgage guidelines. Obtain Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) on files when necessary and requests subordinations What are the Requirements of the job? High school diploma or GED. Three to five years experience in real estate processing at a full-service financial institution. Must currently hold this position or must have been candidate's most recent role. Skills and Abilities: Exhibits a passion and commitment to great service by consistently delivering the service process to every member, employee, vendor and members of the community serviced by the credit union. WorkethicandprofessionalconductthatisconsistentwithcreditunionCore Collaborative skills to work cross functionally with various departments/branches and operational areas. Knowledge and experience with first and second mortgage residential real estate lending. Well-developed writing, member service and communication skills. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills, ensuring efficiency and accuracy Strong listening and needs based sales skills; this would be the ability to truly listen to what the member is saying and offering the products and services that will best suit their needs. Significant level of trust and diplomacy, in addition to normal courtesy and strong interpersonal skills. Ensure compliance is in accordance with all Credit Union policies, procedures and Well-developed reasoning and problem-solving skills, resulting in good decisions that do not result in a loss or expense to the Credit Union Provideinformed,prompt,accurateservice,andsupporttoallmembersandTroubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner, communicating the resolution to affected parties. ****Must be able to pass Background Check**** Job Posted by ApplicantPro
