Position Summary Responsible for solving member concerns by maintaining the processes outlined in this job description to ensure the highest level of service to Cooperative members. Essential Job Functions Create, assign, troubleshoot, and close service orders accurately and in a timely manner. Responsible for timely follow-up on open service orders in accordance with Tri-County's standard operating procedures. Utilize all software tools related to service orders, meters, maps, and workflow processes proficiently to ensure efficiency and accuracy of the service order process. Effectively communicate with all departments, including line crews, to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the service order process to meet Tri-County's expectation of excellence. Properly route all AMI service orders and ensure they are completed correctly throughout the AMI process, including the connect/disconnect status of remotely operated meters. Troubleshoot and correct issues that arise within the AMI process. Properly assign service orders that require a line crew to visit a location. Properly route all Disconnect for Non-Pay service orders and ensure they are completed correctly in the field or through the AMI process. Assist IT and Meter departments regarding AMI, as needed. Complete meter exchanges including changes related to CT PT metering, as needed. Troubleshoot and correct any service order routing issues that may arise and appropriately escalate, as needed. Troubleshoot any issues between software applications and escalate appropriately. Troubleshoot and correct any issues regarding incorrect placement of meters, incorrect mapping information, and provide verification and directions for crew when mapping is incorrect. Appropriately escalate to other departments for corrections, as needed. Investigate meters reporting through AMI but not added to an active account using the 'Unbilled Meter' process. Follow up to ensure other departments complete any necessary work needed to begin accurate billing. Verify and authorize temporary disconnects for repairs and follow-up for reseal or reconnect, as needed. Ensure meters and accounts are in the correct status during this process and that reconnects occur in accordance with Tri-County's standard operating procedures. Investigate and follow the process for unauthorized equipment access and tampering incidents. Ensure reports are appropriately flowing through the established process. Investigate power quality reports utilizing Tri-County's standard operating procedures and escalate to other departments appropriately. Ensure follow up with the member is completed. Correctly calculate multipliers utilizing basic knowledge of CT PT transformers. Verify that work orders have been completed, and complete coinciding service orders. If the work orders have not been completed, communicate with project coordinators and work order technicians to fulfill all aspects of the work order. Understand requirements involving new construction of electric distribution in relation to service orders and coordinate with Field Services. Assign and print all work order related service orders to the correct district. Maintain proper records of service order log. Verify gate code information is available for the crew to access in the field, if applicable. Contact members if there is no gate code information available on the account. Verify that all newly hired crew members are added to software applications in order to assign service orders. Support the strategic goals of the organization in accordance with the Cooperative' Strategic Plan. Work according to the safety rules and company policies, as adopted by TCEC and is responsible for own safety and reports all accidents in accordance with TCEC policies. Perform any additional requirements of the position as deemed necessary. Participates in various projects, as required. Performs other related duties, as required. Position Requirements Education Requirements - Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent Experience - Ability to handle stressful, and/or emergency situations, in a calm and organized manner. Ability to work effectively in a face paced environment. Basic understanding of electrical or utility infrastructure. Exhibits integrity and demonstrates ethical behavior in everyday business conduct. Previous Cooperative experience preferred. Job Training - Ongoing training on programs/software related to the job. Communication Skills- Exceptional communication skills are required. Must be able to effectively read/write/speak the English language. Ability to interact with all departments of the Cooperative as well as with members, the public, other utility personnel, governmental agencies, and equipment vendors in a kind and courteous manner. Collaborate effectively and successfully with fellow employees to achieve department and company-wide goals and build a team-focused environment. Computer Skills - Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications. Willing to learn new technologies. Analytical Skills - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Be organized and able to multitask. Influencing - Must be very motivated and able to work in a team-oriented environment with assigned responsibilities and be able to complete all assigned goals and objectives in an accurate and timely manner while following up with members and/or fellow employees to insure high-quality service. Relationships Reports to Associate Vice President of Member Services. Works with Operations, Member Services, Work Order Technicians, System Operators and other Cooperative staff. Works with members. Physical Demands (Scale: Rarely = Less than 5%, Occasionally = 5% - 25%, Frequently = More than 25%) Heavy lifting or moving of materials: N/A Up to 10 pounds or less.
