Position Summary: The Senior Accountant assists with handling financial activities of the plant. Duties & Responsibilities: Coordinates month end, quarterly, and year end clos in gs ( F in an cia l Statements and supporting schedules) . Assists the Con tr o ll er in providing management with ti mely rev i ews of organ iz ation ' s financial status and progress in its various programs and Assists w i th wee k l y reporting package which includes ingredient shrink, quality ho l ds, sales and production forecas t s, and p l ant labor. Maintains Fixed Assets schedules and Supervises audits of company's accounts annually w hi ch inc l ude s completion of PBC sc h edu l e . Assists in cycle and annual year-end physical inventory Leads mid-year p h ysical inventory count. Ana l y ze s detailed da i l y inputs into Company's ERP system for: I nve n tory Activity, Production, Batching, Shrink and Receiving. Processes in ven t ory transactions in cludin g h olds and I nvesti gates inventory discrepancies as they Reviews any necessary adjustments w i th Con tr o ll er prior to p r ocess in g. Prepares monthly P&L analysis and Provides detailed mon th l y analysis of plant distribution revenue and Prepares and files monthly Sales & Use Tax Provides support in the deve l opmen t of the annual budget and forecast by assisting in the development and analysis o f various departmental budgets. Prepares admin departmenta l budget and monitors expenditure of funds in budget. Provides support and backup for production entry/reporting and pa y ro ll. Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code rev i Supports the corpora t e financial staff wi th miscellaneous. Performs other r e l ated duties as Required Skills & Abilities: Solid k n owledg e of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Princ ip les) and regula ti ons. E xce l le n t k nowledge of accounting a n d fin ancial p rocesses (b u dge ting , fin anc i al c l osure, reporting) . Unders ta nd ing o f data ana l ysis a n d Working knowledge of M S Office ( E xcel) and acco un ting software ( g . , SAP). We ll- org anize d wi th a b ili t y to p ri or i ti ze . Ve r y good communica ti o n an d interpersonal Ability to main t ai n co n fide nti al and meticulous re cords . Demonstrates accuracy a n d th o roug h ne ss and co mp letes wor k in timely. Education & Experience: Ba che l or's degree in Accounting required. At l east five years of re lated experience require d . Physical Requirements: Pro l onged peri ods of s t anding, ta lkin g, an d or si t ting at a desk and worki ng on a com p uter. Must be ab le t o l i f t up t o 15 p o und s a t a time .
