Midland University (Fremont, NE) is seeking an exceptional faculty member and visionary leader with experience teaching and working in the health professions. Teaching responsibilities will vary depending on expertise but could include a variety of courses from: General Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Bioethics, Developmental Biology, Pathophysiology, Survey of Anatomy and Physiology, and other related courses in the health sciences. Qualifications: Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related health care field required; terminal degree preferred Demonstrated excellence in teaching a variety of biology courses and associated labs Commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere for faculty, staff, and students Creating dynamic and relevant learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster a collegial work environment that encourages change and innovation; and an ability to interact effectively and work productively, cooperatively, and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups Knowledge of emerging practices and trends in health professions education Experience with leading continuous improvement Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Passion for developing students as professionals Evidence of best practices in effective use of technology in science education Compensation: Wages are commensurate with education, experience and individual strengths.
