DAY-TO-DAY FOR A COMMUNITY JOB PROGRAM REPRESENTATIVE - OUTREACH SPECIALIST As a part-time Community Job Program Representative - Outreach Specialist with our human services nonprofit, you have the exciting opportunity to make a huge impact! You get to be the driving force behind our Jobs-Plus program by connecting with residents one-on-one, creating powerful community partnerships, and organizing incredible workshops and fundraising events. As the go-to liaison between program staff and residents, you are the one who brings everyone together and ensures that our community remains strong and connected. But that's not all! You also help members navigate intake processes with external providers and maintain referral lists in our Fedcap CARES program. WHAT WE NEED IN A COMMUNITY JOB PROGRAM REPRESENTATIVE - OUTREACH SPECIALIST High school diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent experience Resident of housing developments in the service area Enrolled in Jobs-Plus or willingness to be enrolled in Jobs-Plus upon hire 2+ years of work experience Experience maintaining a social media presence Proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience working with public assistance recipients, formerly incarcerated individuals, and those affected by the challenges associated with poverty Covid-19 vaccination Some postsecondary training as well as experience working with community agencies or service providers are preferred but we will take many factors into consideration. If you are organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with people from diverse backgrounds while maintaining confidentiality, we want to meet you!
