We're looking for a Telecom Installation and Customer Training Specialist to join our team. If that sounds like the sort of team you'd like to join, read on! What you'll do: Among other IT products and services, Les Olson IT offers VoIP phone system design and installation to its customers. The Telecom Installation and Customer Training Specialist will assist the Telecom team with the installation of phones at customer sites. This individual will be responsible for pre-install site visits to ensure that the site provides sufficient available network ports and power sources. Installer will also be responsible for verifying correct hardware is received for install, ensuring proper assignment of devices to end users, and ensuring that hardware is functional with the pre-configured customer cloud PBX. Install team member will also assist with any basic troubleshooting of the device after placement . Once the phone systems are installed, this individual will provide telecom customers with training on their new, highly-featured phone system, including both hardware and software features. The training position will require direct interaction through in-person and remote sessions with customers to help them learn and use the new hardware and software features that these systems offer. This is an on-site role , whether that's Les Olson IT's offices, or those of the customer. Who's our ideal candidate? You have experience with VoIP phone systems-installing, troubleshooting, administering You have basic IT and network connectivity experience You're a fast learner and are ready to learn the full feature set of our systems You listen carefully to customer needs and fulfill them to the letter You pay close attention to the details You're dynamic and personable You're able to clearly and patiently communicate technical features to end users that may have no previous experience with similar technology You present a professional, courteous, and service-minded face to customers and coworkers alike You have reliable transportation to travel to job sites (we provide generous mileage reimbursement) What you'll do: Conduct pre-install customer visits, where you'll ensure the existence of the appropriate number of network connections and appropriate power sources for the desired system Make sure we've received the correct equipment from the manufacturer, and catalog/document it carefully Test equipment prior to delivering and setting it up at the customer site Learn to use and troubleshoot phone and headset functions Learn our preferred products and vendors that offer the most reliable product Become trained on specific telecom software and hardware offerings and their configurations Train customers on the full set of features offered by their phone systems Process repair or return orders Work with vendors to understand product configurations or the specifics of licensing Research and stay up-to-date with the latest hardware and software offered by Les Olson What makes Les Olson different?
