Pricing Analyst, Mid-Level Overview SimTech, Inc., a 2021 and 2020 Best Places to Work Winner, has an immediate need for a Pricing Analyst, Mid-Level to join our growing, diverse and dynamic team in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the proposal team and management to ensure that all costs are captured properly and to provide the customer with a competitive and compliant price proposal. The successful candidate will also be an integral member of the capture/proposal team assisting in the development of the pricing strategy, identifying risks, and interpreting solicitation requirements. Responsibilities Prepare pricing and cost proposals in accordance with customer requirements and current government regulations, laws and company policies. Coordinate proposal pricing activities among various departments including Program Management, Contracts, Business Development. Analyze customer requirements, conduct price to win analysis, develop realistic cost proposal and pricing strategy, construct pricing models and interface with other stake holders involved in the proposal process. Meet schedule and compliance requirements in order to submit compelling and winning cost proposals. Evaluate Request for Proposals (RFP) and/or Requests for Quotes (RFQ); determine functional inputs that will be required for successful proposal submittal and communicate those requirements to the team in a timely and effective manner. Provide risk assessment of terms and conditions of potential contract award to ensure compatibility. Analyze risk assessment and present alternative pricing scenarios to mitigate potential loss / risks. Maintain current knowledge base of federal acquisition regulations and customer requirements. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing specialize and complex information and trends. Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as FAR, DFAR, SBA, DOL, and other government regulations. Research cost elements in order to assist with proposal efforts. Prepare price planning and contract proposals with current forward pricing rates. Generate and present pricing packages for internal and external management reviews. Maintain Pricing Files including documenting proposal assumptions and sources of data used as basis of estimates. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications, Education Requirements and Desired Skillsets Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in developing competitive cost/pricing proposals within government contracting required. Bachelor Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business or related major required. Knowledge and demonstrated experience with various forms of government contract proposals, but not limited to Time and Materials (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (ID/IQ), multiple award contracts (MACs) and contracts awarded under the GSA Schedule(s). Direct and recent experience in pricing EXPRESS, GSA OASIS and BPA contracts required. Demonstrated knowledge / understanding of government contracting forecasting. Must possess excellent analytical and negotiation skills. Experience in government laws and regulations related to the development and negotiation of cost proposals is required (FAR, DFARS, GSAR, CAS). Experience with multiple contract types with an understanding of financial implications on program execution on each contract type. Proven experience in working with proposal teams in a very dynamic environment. Effective time management, organizational skills, detail oriented and have demonstrated ability to think strategically. Ability to work both independently and as an integral team member working closely with various functions, including business development, program management, program finance, contracts and functional organizations is required. Understanding of cost estimating, pricing concepts and principles. Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, with advanced Excel modeling skills required (perform advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, nested formulas). Must be detail-oriented, goal-oriented and mission-focused with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner with efficiency and accuracy. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. U.S. Citizenship required. Will interact in a general office setting with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework.
