Job description NDM is a family-owned hospitality business that started in F&B and is now expanding into vacation rentals. We are creating a new sector in hospitality by creating identifiable brands with consistent accommodations, services and amenities within the vacation rental space. The Director of Revenue Management, DORM, is responsible for development, execution, and measurement of strategic and tactical yield and inventory management to maximize rooms revenue for Margaritaville Orlando Resort and Cottages, and Embassy Suites Orlando properties via major distribution channels, including but not limited to the GDS, Central Call Center, on-property reservations, select extranets, Website, and OTA's. The DORM will support the Managing Directors, Director of Sales, General Manager by providing pertinent information and tools to enhance the property's sales and marketing efforts and decision-making process(es). The DORM will identify, communicate, and execute opportunities to increase incremental revenue based on historical demand, regional, seasonal and competitive influences, by property and market, group performance across each property's profit centers, price sensitivity by market segment, demand and reservation costs across multiple sales channels. DORM with assistance from the Managing Directors and Director of Sales will provide short-term and long-term room revenue projections, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, full-year and multi-year projections. Responsibilities: Ensuring that the revenue management practices are consistent with Rentyl Resorts policies and procedures. Set and manage appropriate yield and inventory controls to maximize each properties revenue from all distribution channels including sales, GDS, website, and OTA's. Effectively communicate all strategies with each properties sales and operations team. Utilize Rentyl Resorts resources to prepare Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly Reports. Maximizing the revenues by monitoring production by length of stay, ensuring that an optimal business and length of stay mix is maintained that focuses on weekly and monthly stays. Implementing all changes/recommendations with assistance from Managing Directors, Regional Director of Sales, and Chief Marketing Officer. Monitor and evaluate performance of revenue management strategies on a weekly and monthly basis; adjust strategies accordingly. Ensuring that each properties' position in the GDS and other distribution channels is consistent with their selling strategies, includes conducting rate and availability audits. Ensuring that all rate plans are built in accordance with established guidelines and promote desired length of stay mix. Rate plans are to be designed with focus on weekly and monthly stays. Monitor configuration of IDeaS (RMS) and Duetto (RMS) to ensure optimal rates are being generated that align with each property's budgeted goals. Monitor and ensure proper market segmentation coding. Assisting the Managing Directors and executive team in analyzing events and trends that may impact a properties'/region's revenues. Assisting in the development of each properties' topline budget. The DORM is the primary developer of the annual revenue budgets in collaboration with the Controller, Managing Directors and Regional Director of Sales. Evaluating booking requests to ensure that the properties are not displacing higher yielding revenue and longer length of stay guests. Evaluating and collaborating with RDOS and MDs on Client RFP participation assessment. Provide input and support data on Corporate, Consortia and Leisure Client RFPs. Conducting research that assesses the revenue management practices of the properties' primary competitors to ensure that opportunities to enhance the properties' revenues are not overlooked. Thoroughly knowledgeable of market conditions, industry trends, and the competition by analyzing STR Data, Hotelligence, Brand Reports, and other competitive tools. Developing reports and tools to assist in review and analysis of revenue practices and business performance. Reporting to the Managing Directors on a weekly basis the current and future state of the properties' revenue management system (IDeaS) and providing updates on market conditions both current and in the future along with ongoing initiatives. Forecasting within acceptable tolerance levels and critically evaluates forecasts for accuracy, identify areas of opportunity and strategies to improves the revenue generation of the property. Serving as an informational resource for the properties' Sales and Operations Team. Preparing for and conducting the properties weekly RevMax Meeting that includes recommendations for long- and short-term growth and provide insight and recommendations in terms of pricing, availability, market demand and promotional opportunities for all segments and channels. Assisting in developing, training, and providing guidance to Rentyl Resorts Revenue Analyst(s) and Revenue Manager(s) Working collaboratively with each property's leadership team, sales and the executive team. Evaluate CVB citywide reports Attending all company sponsored Revenue Management related training programs. Participating in Rentyl Resorts Revenue Management weekly conference calls with each property. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or analytics Minimum of 3 years' experience in hotels/resorts with minimum of 1 year in Revenue Management. Experience with Opera Classic, Opera Cloud, Hilton Revenue Management Systems. Must be able to understand, interpret, and execute signed contracts to meet expectations and project scope Must be able to keep confidentiality of information Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating client or operational needs, name problem areas, and aid in implementing solutions Knowledge with utilizing Ideas and Duetto Revenue Management Systems Knowledge of hospitality sales, marketing, and other revenue management functions including planning, market positioning, market segments, and distribution Effective communication skills and IT fluency Excellent organizational skills Comfortable using a computer for various tasks Proficient in property management systems, central reservation systems, and booking engines. Understanding of hotel operations with the ability to associate and empathize with their needs.
