Mechanical Electrical Engineer SUMMARY: FNA Group is a world class manufacturer of pressure washers and other outdoor power equipment. With over 1 million square feet of production space across 4 locations, we continue to grow our business and our family. We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering group. Primary Purpose: The Mechanical Electrical Engineer is responsible for evaluating product design concepts, development of mechanical concepts, generating final mechanical drawings, developing and reviewing electrical assemblies, generating schematics and wiring diagrams, and reviews and selects electrical components such as motors and alternators. This position supports the activities of both engineering and some production / manufacturing. Essential Duties: Analyze, design, develop, and maintain products; assist in commercialization. Create 3D models and mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks. Detail drawings for manufacturing and assembly of products including wiring diagrams and schematics using SolidWorks and Draft Sight. Build mechanical and electrical prototypes, products, and systems for testing; set up and run laboratory simulations. Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, codes, and other artifacts. Check drawings and models to ensure they are correct and complete. Other tasks assigned by upper management. Qualifications: A demonstrated high level of mechanical intuition. Hands on experience with machining, metal fabrication, and plastics. Working knowledge of electrical components, wiring diagrams and schematics. Working knowledge of generators, alternators and electrical motors. Understanding of product development cycle, from concept to market. Proficient with SolidWorks 3D modeling and detailing. Strong effective communicator both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment of constant change. Self-directed individual who works well within a team environment. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree required; in mechanical or electrical engineering, engineering physics or in a similar discipline. 1 to 5 years of experience in a mechanical engineering, new product development or sustaining engineering roll. Previous experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment or Power Tools industry is highly preferred but not required.
