Metro Aviation is seeking a Bill of Materials Coordinator for our Part 145 Repair Station located in Shreveport, Louisiana at the Metro Aviation Headquarters. JOB OBJECTIVE The Bill of Materials Coordinator is responsible for inspecting aircraft interior components, verifying parts necessary for completion, and documenting in accordance with regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Maintain a close liaison with Aviation Drafters Assist with streamlining the Aviation Drafting process Effectively communicate with various sections in production including tooling, QA, engineering, and manufacturing Verify and properly document parts and components conform to approved data Ensure proper use and storage of area, tools, and equipment Verify that raw materials, purchased parts or components, and finished products meet standards Perform duties utilizing engineering drawings and orders Ensure materials used complies with customer specifications, FAA regulations, manufacturer's applicable maintenance manuals, blueprints, etc. Perform other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Working knowledge of basic tools and parts Must be able to read and write English Attention to detail and follow directions, both written and verbal Willingness to learn High technical aptitude Strong initiative Team player Ability to interpret and conform work to electrical and structural drawings Possess work ethics of honesty, integrity, and commitment to maintaining safe and compliant aircraft EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent PHYSICAL DEMANDS Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time Climbing heights on various equipment Lifting up to 50 or more pounds Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (High Visibility clothing, Ear protection, safety glasses) when required WORK ENVIRONMENT Indoor/Outdoor shop environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible Moderate to a loud noise level STATUS & SCHEDULE Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm, Friday 7:00am-12:00pm Overtime necessary depending on workload No travel required *Metro Aviation does not have a Visa Sponsorship program at this time* Metro Aviation is committed to employees, customers, and the community to promote diversity and inclusion by developing policies, programs, and procedures that foster a work environment where differences are respected and employees are treated fairly.
