Description Position Details : RN- Case Manager PRN, 12-hour shifts, Days, Schedule Varies Non-Exempt, Non-Union, Hourly A Non-Benefited position Position Summary : Under the direction of the CNO, acts as coordinator of patient related activities surrounding discharge planning, utilization review, and oversight of the Swing Bed program, organization of outpatient services or coordination. Assists in the development of or coordination of other programs as assigned by the nursing director. Assists with daily staffing, scheduling and patient care activities. Acts as a relief for nursing management call/coverage. Requirements Education : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Oregon licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Current CPR, ACLS, NRP and Trauma certifications. Experience : Two or more years of clinical experience; supervisory experience preferred. Must be OB and ER certified (or willing to obtain). Job Knowledge : Responsible to understand and capable of implementing duties within the scope of rules and regulations of the Oregon State Board of Nursing and the Nurse Practice Act. kills : Ability to function calmly and effectively in stressful situations. Act as a resource to nursing staff. Communicate effectively with patient families, medical staff, nursing staff, other hospital departments, and community agencies. Demonstrate a positive and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families. Act as a role model for nursing staff. Must maintain confidentiality. Maintain open and effective communications with management, nursing staff, physicians and other hospital departments. Function as a supportive member of the patient care/management team.
