Location – Pine Mountain, GA Supervisor – Signature Events Manager Job Summary Under the direction of the Signature Events leadership team, Special Events Interns are responsible for creating memorable experiences for all Callaway guests and visitors. Specific duties are discussed in interviews but may include the following: preparation & set-up of Signature Events, assisting in daily operation of events, supervising seasonal staff members, and projects in general program/office administration. A primary function of this, and every other job at Callaway Resort & Gardens, is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor receives the highest caliber service.Responsibilities Assist in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating various signature events. Cross-train on daily operation duties in multiple Signature Events including Masters Water Ski, 4th of July, Hot Air Balloon Festival, Pumpkins at Callaway, and Fantasy in Lights. Assist with set-up and breakdown of signature events, and guest experiences. Implement and supervise safety/risk management protocols in a caring and fun environment for guests, volunteers and staff. Enforce event policies and procedures. Help oversee seasonal staff and daily operations of all event related items including, but not limited to, glow golf, photo stations, evening entertainment, trolley operations, cleaning staff, and character meet & greets. Assist with preparing site and equipment for each event day, and with proper clean up and storage at the end of each event night. Conduct and maintain documentation as assigned, including event assessments, plans, progress notes, evaluations, inventory and incident reports. Attend required event meetings, staff meetings and trainings. Wear issued uniform, nametag and adhere to dress code. Create a nurturing, positive and professional environment while promoting events and procedures amongst staff, volunteers and community. Communicate clearly, honestly, and respectfully with all staff, guests, and volunteers. All other duties as specified during staff training and onboarding. Qualifications College Student majoring in Event Planning, Hospitality, Tourism or similar field. Ability to work effectively with children and adults, as well as people of all ages and abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Completion of a background check & valid driver's license. Ability to stand for long periods of time, and work outside in extreme weather conditions such as, but not limited to, heat, cold, rain, wind. Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
