Woodsage LLC is seeking a 1st Shift Machine Setup Operator that is proactive, energetic, and a team player that thrives in a manufacturing environment. Woodsage LLC is a growing manufacturer of fabricated steel tube products. This position would be based out of our location in Holland, OH. The hours for 1st shift are from 7:00am - 3:30pm. The Machine Setup Operator is responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, Perform complete setups on the Secondary Department machines. Understand the safety features of the machines and ensure machines are operating without compromise to those safety systems. Able to perform Lock Out Tag Out functions effectively. To select and prepare tooling (blade, dies, shims, step keys, insert holders, inserts, clamps, etc.) for machine setups. Proper use of hand and pneumatic tools to perform setups. Troubleshoot setup and operational issues as they arise. Reading and comprehending job requirements as stated on the Work Orders. Perform various inspections (length, diameter, chamfer depth, visual, etc.) using quality tools available (linear scale, calipers, micrometers, tape rule, etc.). Recording setup and quality inspection data on required forms. Identify the proper material to be used to process a Work Order. Identify and setup required packaging for a Work Order. Perform and/or assist the training of new operators in the department. Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to perform accurate mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide). Ability to work with fractions and decimals. A work history of compliance to safety, quality, and productivity standards. A work history that supports a good to excellent attendance record. Strong mechanical abilities Detail oriented approach to daily work activities Able to work well in a team-oriented work environment. Preferred Skills Able to use micrometers, calipers, rulers, digital linear scales and other quality inspection devices. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Computer proficiency in MS Office programs (in particular Excel, Word and Outlook (or other similar email system) is a plus. Ability to read, interpret and understand Work Orders.
