The Lead Steward will assist with supporting the department and assist in overseeing the Team Members (employees) responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen(s) or other food preparation areas. Congressional Country Club is looking for Team Members that believe the impossible is possible. Driven to continuously make a positive impact on the organization and believe that as a team we accomplish more. What will be expected of you: Support the Team Members in training and development Report faults, misused or damaged equipment issues to the Manager and or Executive Chef Assist in the location, cleanliness, movement, and storage of operational equipment Ensure team members are following checklists daily Assigns duties in the event of short staffing or call out Assist manager in procedures to improve efficiency and workflow for team members Safely utilize and store all cleaning compounds, and chemicals in the proper area, ensuring team members are properly using them Assists in resolving team member issues in the event that management is of the property. Also, keep management informed of all issue Assist the Manager with the Stewarding team to include efficient staffing (ideas for recruitment), team member development and training, and policy enforcement Monitor the performance of the stewards and provide direction and recommend corrective action. Report issues to management Assist Stewarding Manager & F&B Service leaders and service staff to establish better unique and new ways of the back of the house organization of equipment, china, glassware, flatware, and all items included for timeliness of service on delivery and service of food and beverage events Perform PM walk-through daily of all outlets and report issues to Stewarding Manager on a daily logout Communicate positively with staff, colleagues, and the Outlet Managers to ensure effective teamwork and high morale.
