The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing statistical forecasts through collaboration with marketing and sales for the operation of Wise Foods. This process is based on business procedures and strategies that allow the alignment of the operations, fulfilling customer needs and generating the expected benefits for the organization. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities: Prepare statistical and Collaborative Forecast Analyze and clean the historical master data information at different levels: Calibrate and define statistical models using a tool so that the information is reliable. Build a monthly forecast and collaborate with sales to refine it. This is reviewed for accuracy and deployed to weigh capacity requirements. Weekly forecast for operations is also prepared to guide production on a weekly basis. Identify the deviations to the sales plan with the objective of requiring actions of the different areas for the fulfillment of the plan and also coming up with ideas and actions to close that gap. Provide in timely manner the statistical information, initiatives and proposals of volume for the next six months so that it is collaborated by the sales branches, key accounts, direct accounts and distributors. Confirm the plans, campaigns and promotions to the operation for their consideration in the short-term demand. Define the metric criteria at all levels of the results obtained in the collaborative process of the immediate previous month and its tendency at a plant, warehouse, region and distributor level to review opportunities of the business. Analyze the deviations and establish the mechanisms of training in Plants/WHs/Regions, Corporate Managers and Functional VP's that require it with the objective of improving the performance of the collaborated data. Develop the yearly objective at a Branch/Region/Division and brand level so that the operations can generate the plan of strategic activities. Connect the sales plan of the immediate next month of the short term into weekly forecast, to assure the communication, scope and fulfillment of the demand plans in the day to day. Product Portfolio Alignment Ensure an updated and current product portfolio in collaboration w/ Marketing. Review and include on new product introduction and provide forecast to supply team for procure materials needed for production and launch. manage discontinued products and transfer demand to substitute products if needed. 2.3 Track new product performance until is considered part of business-as-usual portfolio. Prepare the monthly and weekly S&OP Process Prepare the monthly and weekly S&OP Calendar and material. Communicate to the operations the agreed sales plan and guidelines derived from it. Review the previous week and monthly KPIs. This ensures we are on track with the metrics outlined and also putting in place processes or measures to improve or maintain those metrics. Present to executive leadership KPIs from previous month and forecast for next 2 months. This helps close gaps between forecast and business plans. Other Duties/Projects as needed by Executive Leadership: Prepare information to help address major issues that come up and will impact S&OP metrics. Participate and implements new projects and initiatives: Collaborate and participate in the new projects and initiatives as requested. Implement and develop the projects as requested. Bring initiatives to help the organization in efficiencies. Skills & Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Economics 8 years' experience in Supply Chain 6 years' experience Sales & Operations Planning 5 years' experience with Lean Six Sigma Principles Preferred: Basic Spanish language skills Master's Degree in Applied Economics and Econometrics Wise Foods, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
