Job Description: Estimator, Energy Pay Range Commensurate with Industry Experience Schedule Typically Monday through Friday and additional days as needed. Objective The Construction Estimator is responsible for evaluating project plans and proposals and providing cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. This role involves working closely with project managers, designers, and engineers to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Regular Job Duties Review project plans and proposals to develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment Communicate with project managers, designers, and engineers to ensure that all project requirements are understood and incorporated into the estimate Research and identify material and labor costs, and equipment needs Prepare detailed cost reports, including cost breakdowns and project timelines Collaborate with other members of the project team to identify potential cost savings and efficiency improvements Keep abreast of industry trends and new technologies to stay current on cost estimating techniques Maintain accurate and organized records of project estimates and costs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in solar and wind construction cost estimating Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and labor costs Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numbers Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using cost estimating software and other relevant tools Familiarity with project management software and tools Strong organizational and time management skills The Statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and levels of work performed by employees, but are not a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.
