Reports To: General Manager of Production Engineering Description: Performs a mentoring role to department engineers in addition to the role as an industrial engineer Responsibilities: Performs all responsibilities of Industrial engineer based on previous titles of Industrial Engineer level 1 and Industrial Engineer level 2. Mentors engineers in the production engineering department in company procedures, engineering principles, and work practices. Must work in a safe manner in compliance with KNA policies and maintain an awareness of danger to themselves and others. Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures. EDUCATION: High school diploma + 10 Years Production supervision; or BS Degree in ME, IE, or ET; or AAS in Mechatronics, Maintenance, or Tooling EXPERIENCE: 6 or more years in the relevant engineering field and based on documented performance reviews from General Manager of Production Engineering SKILLS: Experience working with Windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Proficient in lean manufacturing principles Above average mathematical skills, written skills, and verbal skills Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc. Capable of overall professionalism in a business environment Ability to travel for extended periods of time with limited prior notice Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required to support department/company scheduled targets / objectives in a quality/timing manner Knowledge of ISO/IATF Work Environment: This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Physical Demands: The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures.
