Concordia University Ann Arbor seeks applicants for part-time Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Psychology in the School of Arts & Sciences. We are seeking an instructor who exhibits a high degree of professionalism, strong desire to motivate, educate, and engage with students, and a deep commitment to serving Christ in the church and in the world. A wide range of undergraduate psychology course options are available; however, the department is specifically seeking an instructor with a background in developmental psychology and learning/behavioral psychology to teach courses in-person. This position will be an onsite teaching position at the CUAA Ann Arbor, MI campus. Education & Experience Earned Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or closely related field Desired Qualifications Prior teaching and/or academic experience at the collegiate level and knowledge of higher education Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities The applicant must have excellent skills in oral and written communications. In addition, the applicant must have observable enthusiasm for professional engagement with students in and out of the classroom and ability to work in teams in a collegial environment. The applicant is required to teach courses through alternative delivery methods, inclusive of online learning management systems and independent study. Applicants must have evidence of a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education; evidence of a willingness to collaborate with both students and faculty, and evidence of involvement in university service. It is expected that the candidate remain professionally active in the criminal justice community. Also, applicant should be available to teach daytime and evening traditional courses.
