Friends School is a Quaker, co-educational, college preparatory school, Pre-K through Grade 12, in Baltimore City. Little Friends child care program, located on the campus of Friends School of Baltimore, is seeking a part-time teacher (2 pm - 6 pm) for the 2021-2022 academic year to work with children ages 6 weeks though 4 years. Responsibilities: Learn, understand and embrace the Quaker aspect of the school and use on a daily basis through Morning Meeting, curriculum, classroom management, and all parent/child/employee interactions. Oversee students and activities in the classroom to which you are assigned. Create a nurturing, enriching, age-appropriate learning environment for the classroom to which you are assigned. Structure a relaxed atmosphere for children while ensuring a safe and organized program, adhering to all school rules and policies. Greet the parents and build rapport, communicate with them daily about their child's day. Maintain a neat and professional image at all times. Requirements: Prior experience or an interest in working with children under the age 4. Must be dependable and a team player. This position also requires excellent communication skills, commitment and the ability to follow instructions.
