A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PHARMACY TECHNICIAN We are seeking a pharmacy technician who will provide patient care by removing the barriers to medication access. This position will entail working with insurance companies to facilitate approval of medications through prior authorizations. You will act as a liaison between the provider teams, the patient, and dispensing pharmacy to communicate prior authorizations decisions and coordinate prescription processing to ensure timely initiation of medications. The pharmacy technician may also work with patients to research financial assistance options through copay cards, foundations, and assistance programs for unaffordable medications. This position may also offer the opportunities to assist the clinical pharmacists with a medication adherence program and assist the medication refill team. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PHARMACY TECHNICIAN State of Oregon Pharmacy Technician License Basic computer skills Patient-centered customer service skills Electronic medical record (EMR) experience is ideal but not necessary. Are you a team player who is reliable and works well with others? Can you provide compassionate patient care for diverse patients while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries? Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills? Are you organized and able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks?
