A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT (MOA) As a Medical Office Assistant (MOA), you optimize the efficiency of our practice and ensure that we deliver the best possible patient-focused care. Acting as the liaison between patients and providers, you ensure that our patients feel welcomed and attended to and that their visit goes smoothly. You greet patients warmly, check them in, and room them. By obtaining their histories, vital signs, and other measurements, you get their appointments started in an efficient manner. You also get to assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments such as administering medications and injections. With attention to detail, you ensure that everything is properly documented in the EMR system. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT (MOA) Graduate from a medical office assistant training program (CMA certification required within 1 year) Basic computer skills Patient-centered customer service skills Electronic medical record (EMR) experience is ideal but not necessary. Are you a team player who is reliable and works well with others? Can you provide compassionate patient care for diverse patients while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries? Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills? Are you organized and able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks? If so, you might just be perfect for this administrative position in health care! WORK SCHEDULE This full-time CMA position works varying shifts on Monday - Friday (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM) with occasional late shifts (12:00 PM to 8:00 PM) and occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
