DME / Die Procurement Engineer

Description:
Position Description: This Team member will be responsible for a role within the Machining, Die Procurement and DME groups. The daily routine of this Team Member will include: Machining Department Quoting/Processing in the AM hours and DME / Die Procurement Quoting/Processing as well as hands on die building in the afternoon hours. Machining Responsibilities : Quoting stock cage and special order details daily, as well as creating requisitions for them in Oracle. Aid in recognizing detail function, identifying working features of those details. Assist in die reconditioning processing. Die Procurement Responsibilities : Quoting/Processing of die components for new die builds. Identify any CAD errors and correct them. Outsource details and components that are not reasonable to make in house. Work in cooperation with Engineering, Machining, Die Maintenance and DME/Stock Cage groups to help streamline die design concepts, quoting, identifying best machining process and assembly of finished details. Other Responsibilities that apply : Work in cooperation with Die Maintenance to improve current die related issues. Support Engineering group with Design issues. Identify root cause of Mis-hits in cooperation with Die Maintenance and Press Departments. Investigate and resolve issues with Mis-hits and Die crashes. Organize reports in Excel to identify cost involved with Mis-hits and crashed dies. Attend weekly meetings to report on progress in all areas mentioned. This member may possibly train with the CAD administrator to help with organizing our CAD server. Skills and Experience Required: 10+ years experience Die Maintenance experience in the automotive field. Comprehensive knowledge of quoting die build and quoting spare details. High level of troubleshooting dies for continuous improvement. Intermediate Oracle, Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD skills. Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent.**Candidates applying for positions with Aisin must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
