STAFF ACCOUNTANT DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Finance Director, the Staff Accountant will provide critical accounting support, leadership, project management and oversight of Liberation Programs, Inc. financial integrity. This is an excellent opportunity for entry level Accounting/Finance candidates. DUTIES: Provides accounting support in the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger and from departments. Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data scheduling for jobs verifying data Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports verifying information Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files reconciling accounts Prepares payments by accruing expenses assigning account numbers requesting disbursements reconciling accounts Prepares and processes bi-weekly payroll including employee benefits and reimbursements Develops and implements procedures by analyzing current procedures recommending changes Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data Provides accounting support by reviewing financial information converting data to general ledger system QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree required. Bachelors degree desired Computer skills in MS Excel required Experience creating and using pivot tables & v-look-ups required Payroll preparation and processing experience using ADP Workforce Now (preferred but not required) Excellent analytical and organizational skills
