Energy & Transportation Rental Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY: The Rental Manager's primary objective is to provide leadership while training and developing employees to ensure exceptional customer service. Monitor key performance metrics and seek opportunities to improve processes, procedures, or best practices of conducting business. Key responsibilities include proactive fleet management and monitoring of expenses to ensure profitability and strong financial performance. Lead the rental sales team in developing diverse customer bases while maintaining existing customer relationships and developing new customer relationships in a continuous effort to expand market share and grow revenues.Rental Management Fundamental Duties: Create strategic departmental initiatives and strategies to achieve sales objectives. Create yearly rental business plan with sales strategies for departmental growth. Identify sales trends and future sales potential through analysis of financial reports. Monitor fleet levels of rental equipment, including lost rents and interaction with the rental sales team and branch personnel. Monitor equipment ages and develop a multi-year rental roll out strategy (fleet replacement program for all rental equipment). Monitor rental fleet sales pricing for accuracy and competitiveness. Monitor rental coordinator processes for accuracy and timeliness. This includes processes such as credit clearances, shipping approvals, shippers and receivers, and reservations. Train and develop a dedicated work force while seeking to provide opportunities for career growth for each individual. Provide immediate coaching and guidance as it relates to their performance. Efficiently work with the rental sales service liaison to prioritize workloads and line out service work to ensure equipment is serviced, maintained, and repaired in a timely manner. Prepare monthly reports on financial and time utilization metrics. Efficiently support the Cleveland Brothers CRM tool enabling the sales force to constructively analyze customer accounts to determine potential for both present and future equipment needs. Monitor and ensure safety and environmental compliance. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: A minimum of two - four years of sales management experience Ability to lead and motivate people Good judgment and quick, comprehensive decision-making ability Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills PC familiarity and practical experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point Educational Requirements: BSBA degree required, Masters preferred We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
