Personal Trainer (Contractor) About the Position The personal trainer is responsible for providing members of the club with a personalized fitness-lifestyle program, which includes an assessment of their fitness needs, as well as a program for exercise that will assist the members in achieving their goals. About Grey Oaks Country Club Considered one of the premier Country Clubs in Florida, Grey Oaks opened in 1993 and encompasses the Grey Oaks and Estuary communities, along with 54 holes of championship golf. The Club's facilities include a 63,000-square-foot east clubhouse, 12,000-square-foot golf pro shop, golf performance center, 30,000-square-foot wellness center, sports center, and the pool café, a 22,000-square-foot complex with indoor and outdoor dining overlooking an expansive resort-style pool with a wading entrance, waterfall, and lap lanes. Accountabilities and Functions: Job Responsibilities: To greet each member and guest by name when they are on the fitness floor, including establishing a relationship with each member greeted To conduct new member assessments and orientations To promote and sell the club's personal training and any related personal instruction for members and guests To assist in facilitating personal contact between members when they are on the exercise floor To assist in preventive maintenance and cleaning of the fitness equipment To assist with cleaning and care of the fitness areas To willingly step in and assist with responsibilities attend to other services offered by the club, including teaching group-fitness classes, as may be required to help ensure that the club delivers upon its brand promise Equipment and Tools Used Knowledge of athletic/fitness equipment, desktop computers, facsimile equipment, copiers, landline phone, and calculator. Familiarity with programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Environmental Conditions The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Job Specifications: Minimum Qualifications · Skill and knowledge requirements An Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred in Business Science. Higher education experience and certifications preferred. Education requirement maybe substituted with three (3 years of related experience and/or training. A valid FL driver license and acceptable motor vehicle record is required. To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Physical Requirements - Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Problem solving -the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner Oral communication -the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations Quality management -the individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Judgment -the individual displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment Planning/organizing -the individual prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently Safety and security -the individual observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
