We provide the design, installation, upgrade, maintenance, and repair of electrical, telecommunications, data, security, and high-voltage systems.Our employees possess a strong work ethic and the ability to get things done - efficiently and safely.Our family-oriented culture encourages collaboration, respect and continual learning.We are seeking a full-time, Journeyman Electrician Job Summ ary: Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial, industrial and residential electrical industry. Responsibilities and Duties: Generates high quality and efficient work in alignment with the mission of Merit Electrical Group Installs and repairs electrical equipment and fixtures Installs various types of raceway and cable tray systems Troubleshoots motor and control systems Performs routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems Adheres to all quality and safety codes Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment Interprets blueprints, schematics and manufacturers’ specifications Instructs apprentices and assistants in the techniques and procedures employed in the electrical trade; inspect apprentices’ work to determine that they follow the necessary operations and that works conforms to specifications Supervises (1) or more apprentice(s) Qualifications and Skills: Must have at least (4) years of electrical experience Must have knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring and electrical codes Must have the ability to read blueprints and schematics Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations Must be able to diagnose and resolve problems Must have the ability to use hand and power tools Must be able to use a ladder and work with heights Must have a current driver's license and reliable transportation Must posses a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent training Must be able to successfully pass a drug test Must have acceptable criminal background checks (Act 34, Act 114 and Act 151) Benefits: Competitive pay Health Dental Vision 401(k) Time off Holiday pay Free Parking Merit Electrical Group - We E A R N through P E R F O R M A N C E Powered by JazzHR
